Autobody Technician

B&E Garage is looking for an autobody technician, located in Hill City, Kansas. 

Pay: $18 per hour+ depending on experience

Experience: 2-3 years experience required.

Requirements include:

Vehicle Damage Assessment: Inspecting and assessing the extent of damage to a vehicle, both externally and internally.

Repair Planning: Creating a repair plan based on the assessment, determining the necessary tools, materials, and techniques required to restore the vehicle to its pre-damage condition.

Body Repair: Repairing and replacing damaged body panels, frames, and other structural components of the vehicle using various techniques such as welding, panel beating, and dent removal.

Painting and Refinishing: Preparing surfaces for painting, applying primer, color coats, and clear coats, and using specialized equipment to match the vehicle’s original paint color.

Component Replacement: Removing and replacing damaged mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, such as lights, windows, mirrors, and sensors.

Quality Control: Conducting thorough inspections and tests to ensure repairs meet industry standards and the vehicle is restored to its pre-accident condition.

Documentation: Keeping detailed records of repairs, including parts used, labor hours, and any additional information required for insurance purposes or customer reference.

Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are crucial for this profession. Applicant must be a self motivated individual with a high attention to detail. This position requires the employee to provide their own tools. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm with paid holidays. There is one week’s paid vacation.
